Here is a video demonstration of Photosynth that was given at the TED conference this year.
Using a bunch of images scraped from Flickr and stitch them all together, allowing for a multidimensional space with an almost infinite zoom capability.
Its architect, Blaise Aguera y Arcas, shows it off in this standing-ovation demo. Definitely worth a view.

Microsoft announces a computing Table called "Surface"

Microsoft announced "Surface" a computing table with a multi-touch, multi-user interface, extremely similar to the iPhone. Microsoft are trying to find a new direction for computing and will install a demo in the US. Some units will be displayed in T-Mobile stores, Starwood hotels, and even Harrah’s Casino in Las Vegas.
